Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

At all times, LMR SAS strives to demonstrate its respect for social responsibility. As part of CSR, LMR SAS has taken some of very important voluntary actions to improve the living conditions of its local communities such as:

Maintenance work on the peripheral roads, rolling tracks in the mine as well as the digging of the drainage drains were carried out especially in anticipation of the rainy season.
The roads used by vehicles and the taxiways in the mine were regularly watered in the dry season and on days without rain.
Light masts were installed at the camp to improve visibility at night.

In addition, LMR will undertake below CSR activities during the year 2023-2027 pursuant to the provisions of Article 285 septies of DRC Mining Regulations 2018:

Install water tanks for storage.
03	Support for improving corn cultivation in the Mukumbi group	Agriculture	Mukumbi (75 ha) umba Kinsense (20) Makungu (20 ha) Kawama (15 ha) Kasansama (20 ha) Sandra (10 ha) Kakonde (40 ha)	Distribute agricultural inputs to farmers in the Mukumbi group in order to boost agricultural production in the region. This will involve corn, bean and soybean seeds; urea and pesticide.
04	Brick presses acquisition project	Social	Mukumbi Sandra, Lumba Kinsense, Makungu, Kawama Kasansama, Kakonde.	The project consists of setting up bricklayer cooperatives with the aim of improving housing in the area and increasing income.
05	Construction of a passing house	Social	Mukumbi	Build a house with 5 bedrooms and a double living room, a kitchen + toilets for visitors using baked bricks
06	Support for goat and broiler breeders	Breeding	Lumba-Kinsense Mukumbi, Sandra, Kasansama, Kawama, Kakonde, Makungu	Promote the breeding of small livestock and poultry in the villages of the Mukumbi group
07	Construction of a vocational training center	Social and Education	Mukumbi	Build a vocational training center with 5 premises, an administrative building and toilets using fired bricks and equip it with furniture and equipment for each area of training.
08	Layout of play areas	Sports and hobbies	Mukumbi Sandra Kawama Lumba-Kinsense Kasansama Kakonde Makungu	Development of play areas (football and volleyball fields for these 7 villages). NB: Build the stand and latrines in the Mukumbi playground.
09	Construction and equipment of a primary school	Education	Kawama	Build with fired bricks 1 primary school in the official network of 6 classrooms, 1 director's office, 1 teacher's room, 8 toilet doors and equip it with benches, tables, chairs and shelves.
10	Construction of 2 health posts as well as their equipment with essential materials.	Health	Kakonde Makungu	Build 1 health post in each of these two villages using baked bricks (1 room for reception, 1 room for consultation, care and pharmacy and 1 room for observation). Also equip it with furniture and essential materials. Provide toilets (2 doors)
